Umass Amherst Computer Science & Purdue University Computer Information Tech. ???

Hello,
I am an international student from Turkey, I am senior, and
I just got all my decisions back!
Thank god i got into my 2 top choices...
and I can't really decide which one to go with
so just wanted to ask!
Btw, the actual major I was looking for was Computer Science (I got into my alternative choice in Purdue)
so I am not sure if it will worth to study my alternative major for Purdue University, and I am not sure if I will be able to transfer later.
I have also get into Drexel University (Computer science) with 12,000$ scholarship but it is still pretty expensive for me :/
If you have any advice it will help so much!!!!!
Thank you :)

<a href=“CODO - Department of Computer Science - Purdue University”>https://www.cs.purdue.edu/undergraduate/codo.html</a> describes what you must do to change into the CS major at Purdue.

Thank you! I ll check it right now, and do you have any other advice for school decision ?
Thanks again :)

anything else? anybody :/

CS Technology is NOT CS. At Purdue, grades are pretty low the first year, so transferring into CS is quite uncertain.
Therefore, I would recommend you go with the sure thing, CS at UMass Amherst.

I am actually pretty disappointed with the college of technology thing, I can’t even find their rankings, I mean Purdue is a strong university internationally (especially in my country) so I ll be happy to go there but I am not sure if their CS Technology is good  do you know anything about their Computer information technology education?
Thank you :)

CIT at Purdue looks more about managing computers and their software than designing computers and their software like CS is about.

CS Technology trains the people who will work for the CS majors. Don’t trade the “Purdue” brand for an actual major. Do you think you could get into HOnors at UMass after a semester?

I’ll agree with the others that you should go for CS at UMass. They have a well-regarded CS program and Amherst is a great college town.

I just got into ASU Barret honors  and i am completly lost  idk what to do any more advice
?

If ASU Barrett is financially possible, it’s one of the best Honors Programs in the US, so if CS is not competitive to get into as a major or you’re already admitted to Barrett, and EVEN IF you got into Amherst Honors, I’d pick Barrett by FAR :). Congratulations!
