Umass Amherst Isenberg

I am currently a freshman at Umass Lowell looking to transfer to Umass Amherst. I am a CS major but looking to change that to Finance. I understand that this is in the Isenberg school. Just wondering if anyone has or knows someone that has transferred into ISOM. I see that they have very difficult reqs to get in and this is holding me back from applying. I am currently taking Econ and will probably end up with around a B+, and will have taken Calc 1 and 2 at the end f the year with just around a B+ or A- in those. Does anybody have experience transferring to Isenberg. Otherwise I would be staying at Lowell for a Business major and I would much rather go to Amherst for something like that.

I’m not sure about coming into Isenberg from another UMass campus, but my daughter applied to Isenberg as UMass Amherst student who had not declared a major. She took the prerequisites, got good grades, wrote a good essay, and was accepted. Several of her friends did the same. It’s an achievable goal. Why don’t you talk to someone at Isenberg who can give you some guidance?

I have spoken to people there. But when I look at the stats on their page it is a bit daunting. Basically have to get straight A’s A-'s in all classes
