umass amherst or holy cross?

<p>I had lived in worcester my whole entire life and, worcester had been full of DRAMA for me. In a few weeks I have to decide whether or not I would go to Umass Amherst or Holy Cross. I know the Holy Cross has a better college reputation, but I'm reluctant to go because I don't want to stay in worcester and I like to be able to meet a lot of people and go to a bigger school.</p>

<p>Umass amherst gave me a full ride (+extra 500) but with 5,000 in loan.
Holy Cross gave me loan with 2,000 with an unmet aid of 1000 each year.</p>

<p>Holy Cross definitley has the stronger name and academic reputation but if staying in Worcester is really such a detriment it may not be worth it and going to UMass-Amherst will get you where you want to go.</p>
