@KezM97 apparently march!

Accepted! With 8k scholarship~

GPA: 3.7
ACT: 28

@BlackTealways Congratz!

@PrayforUF and @KezM97 I think UCONN says March just to cover themselves. Two years ago my son got his acceptance to UCONN on Feb 8th. My daughter is also waiitg on UCONN but she was accepted to UMass Isenberg, invited to Honors and got the Dean’s award. UCONN would have to give her quite a bit of money to make it near comparable to UMass for us.

Thanks I really hope I hear back from them soon! @ConfusedMominMA

accepted yesterday with a 3.85 unweighted gpa and 1940 sat! 500+ service learning, 3 sport varsity athlete & lots of ECs. scholarship for 24k a year!!

@ConfusedMominMA thank you!!! Did it come through the mail or was it online? And I need a lot of money from uconn too if they gave me a lot like umass it would be an easy decision for me . I love uconn <3

@PrayforUF Trying to remember, maybe online?

@ConfusedMominMA thank you so much !

Nothing yet. My status changed today on SPIRE from “Completed” to “Under review”:

“Your application is under consideration for admission. While we realize that you are anxious to receive your decision, please understand that we want to take the time to give each application the full attention that it deserves.”

Accepted today by mail! 3.23 Unweighted GPA, 3.75 weighted, 1300 sat (750R/550M), no honors college, $8,000, out of state, 7 APs.

STILL nothing in the mail or on SPIRE. My application has been “under review” for the better part of two weeks. This is BEYOND infuriating.

@lbad96 The worst part is that other people call us anxious and provide reasurance. I know they are trying to help, but still it is annoying when people think it is pointless eagerness

@youTalkintoMe not to mention that our chances literally dwindle every day we don’t hear back.

That is not true.

@NEPatsGirl how?

@lbad96 Yeah it is not true, UMass’s system of sending responses is random. Also, less qualified people at my school recieved their admissions before more qualified students at my school. If chances are dwindling everyday, then why are these more qualfied students still not hearing back?

@youTalkintoMe really? Wow

Did anyone receive an email from UMAss stating they began mailing early action decisions? We received one today. Don’t know if that’s good or bad.

@youTalkintoMe - You at Umass Amherst? That system seems a bit weird, but nonetheless possible. Anyway, I hope you and the other applicants hear back soon, I’m sure it must be extremely stressful.
I’m sure you may know this but the website lists the application dates and the approx accept/deny dates as follows:

Deadlines for Freshman Applicants
Fall Term:
Early Action: November 1
(deadline for credentials is November 20)

When to expect to hear back --> Admission decisions will be communicated beginning in mid-December. (So guessing that they still have a few to send out)

Regular Decision: January 15
(deadline for credentials is February 1)

When to expect to hear back --> (Early March) Obviously standard applicants are gonna have to wait a lot longer.
