Surpised with no scholarship considering im out of state.
Emailed admissions and gonna talk to financial aid office about it see if i can get other types of aid.

For people like me who have STILL not heard back, I emailed the admissions office and this is the response I got: “The process is unfortunately still on going. You should hear in the next week or so, via the mail. Let us know if you have any more questions.” I’m pretty frustrated but because I applied to the nursing program which is a four year track, they really want to know how many eligible applicants they have because no one will be switching in.
@lola19 My daughter was deferred from the nursing program last week. I was curious to know why, so I contacted the admissions office. I received a very nice email response. This year was extremely competitive. She said the candidates that were accepted had an average gpa of 4.0 (weighted and recalculated) and average SAT was 1305 (math and reading). She also said that in the past they accept very few students from the deferred pool into the program because of how many apply during regular decision. I think it is very doubtful that my daughter will receive an acceptance in March.
lola19 I called admissions today and they said myine is still under review . I should hear by next weekend. I am frustrated too!
my son was not accepted…got the letter in the mail today…hes pretty bummed about it…hes been in love with school ever since we visited back in October!
his gfriend was deferred as she received her snail mail earlier this week…she was national honor society and had great stats! oh well it wasnt meant to be!

I STILL have yet to hear. I think I wasted my time applying on August 1st. Had I known it would take this long, I would have applied at 11:59 PM on November 1st. If I say that I’m deferred, don’t look for me on this forum anymore. I’ll happily move on to my other choices. Hell, I don’t even think that I would attend if accepted anymore. I’ve been accepted to UNC Wilmington, Quinnipiac, Stetson and Rider so far. North Carolina seems like an absolutely beautiful state, and I’m leaning towards UNCW. This is an absolute farce. If they take THIS long to get back to some people, then the administration are clearly very incompetent.
