I am an international student from India and i got into both of these colleges. I received a scholarship of 14000$ per year from Umass and got directly into CS. However, i got no scholarship from UMD and haven’t been directly admitted to the major cs. I got into letters and sciences at UMD (an advising college) where i’ll have to give a few gateway exams in order to get into cs.
Now my question is that is UMD worth the extra bucks and efforts considering its reputation for the program? Or should i go with Umass ?
