UMass Amherst vs Wash U vs The University of Wisconsin-Madison

Greetings.

I am a high school student from India interested in Computer Science major. As of now I’ve been accepted into the three schools for under grad studies. The details of admission offers are as follows:

UMass Amherst:
Admitted with computer science as my major. Offered a performance-based scholarship which would cover 50% of the tuition fee. I’ve also been enrolled into their Common wealth honors program.

University of Washington:
Admitted to pre-physical sciences. Not sure what this means. The letter states that I’ll be able to explore various academic options in the first year and then move to computer science, if I meet the prerequisites. Any information on pre-science would be helpful.

University of Wisconsin-Madison: Applied for Computer Science. Admitted into general studies.

Any advice on which of these to choose, taking into consideration factors like the quality of faculty, job opportunities, student community etc would be appreciated. Personal experiences from students from these colleges are more than welcome.

UMass

UMass or UW-Madison. Declaring for CS at UW-Madison is still easy.

Trying to get in to CS at UDub is competitive and only about 1/3rd succeed.

BTW, UDub is not WashU.

There is another university in the US called “Washington University” It is not the “University of Washington”.

Right, my bad. Just to clarify, I’m talking about the University of Washington, Seattle.
