Umass Amherst

Hi everyone,

I am a senior in a Massachusetts high school and have a 3.45 GPA (weighted) and an SAT Score of 1980. I am currently taking two AP courses (Biology and Calculus). I am interested in applying to Umass Amherst for the Pre Medical track. How are my chances?? Please let me know.

What is your unweighted? Weighted can matter so little without the unweighted one

@LonelyBanana106‌ my unweighted is about 3.1. How do you think my chances are? Oh, and I have I got a 1360 on the SAT (out of 1600) and a 760 on the Math Subject SAT II

I have applied via Early Action

I say you have a good chance with your sat score but your UW could be higher. There’s nothing you can do about your GPA but I say your SAT score kinda balances the issue. Since you applied early action, your chances increase as well I think you have a good chance overall :slight_smile: Chance me too :)

You will easily get in.

I have a 3.76 GPA this semester with 2 C’s, 1 B, and 3 A’s. Is this going to significantly decrease my chances??

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

No. Amherst is a VERY easy college to get into. Basically if you have a 1600 sat or higher, youre in.

Ok. Thanks a lot for the feedback @TrynaMakeIt‌.

Unfortunately guys, looks like I have been deferred into regular decision. How are my chances looking now? Minimal or OK??

@LonelyBanana106‌ any thoughts? @TrynaMakeIt‌?
