Good morning everyone,
My son has applied to UMASS Dartmouth EA. I have not run across much about this university and would like any thoughts (positive or negative). He wants a smaller state school (Amherst too large) and UMASS Lowell too close to home (30 minutes away).
His stats in case people are wondering:
3.6 unweighted
1250 SAT (one and done)
take up to 5 AP courses, played sports, part time job a little volunteering
large urban high school
Also, curious about the merit scholarships given and how soon he will hear about acceptance/financial aid package since he applied EA.
I don’t have any special knowledge on this. We are in the same position for UMass Lowell.
The UMass Dartmouth website says early action financial aid decisions will be released “as early as January“ so…not very informative. And I haven’t had any luck finding information from past years for actual dates people received the financial/merit aid information (from either Dartmouth or Lowell).
