UMass Lowell as a transfer

Hey everyone.

A few days after finalizing my application to UML, I was accepted into their Honors College. I was shocked at how quickly this decision came. Admittedly, I applied to 6 other schools and UML was never really a place I was passionate about attending (George Washington, BU, BC, Northeastern, UMass Amherst have been getting all of my attention). But, I do know that UML has a good reputation in Massachusetts, so I assume that this should be a good sign for my other applications.

Does anyone have any insights into UMass Lowell, their admission process and the difficulty of getting into their Honors program? I am having difficulty finding information regarding their transfer admission process and anything that proves that it is going to be an overwhelmingly better experience than my current situation at UMass Dartmouth. But, I would like to have an open mind. And also, would it be a bad idea to use this decision to gauge my chances at those other programs, particularly UMass Amherst?

Here are my stats for reference.

Both business insider and MSN have labeled UML as one of the most underrated colleges in America. #3 for Business Insider and #2 for msn. It’s a great school and I’m also transferring there for CS.
