I’m curious about entering a MassTransfer program to transfer from a CC to UMass Amherst’s Computer Science program. I’ve noticed that the MassTransfer page on UMass Amherst’s website currently doesn’t work, and furthermore I have emailed the admissions office but they never responded.
I have been looking at the transfer agreements listed here: http://www.mass.edu/forstufam/admissions/TransferAdmin/PublicList.asp
I noticed that next to every CC’s Computer Science Associate Degree, it usually lists the corresponding transfer college as the College of Natural Sciences, but never the College of Information and Computer Sciences. I initially took this to mean there was no MassTransfer agreement that would allow me to transfer into a Computer Science major.
However, then I noticed under where it lists the College, it sometimes says things like “Additional prerequisite coursework required for computer science major”, even though the College isn’t the College of Information and Computer Sciences.
So I am a bit confused… is there a MassTransfer agreement that would allow me to transfer into UMass Amherst’s Computer Science major, or not?
