UMASS or UCONN for undergraduate computer science ?

Hi, does anybody have first-hand experience with either computer science program ? I know UMass is higher ranked, but will this really make a difference for an undergraduate degree? I have been excepted into UMASS with a $14,000 scholarship out of state . Not sure about UConn yet, but I think the decision will be difficult! Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

*accepted. Darn auto-correct!

I would attend where the costs make the most sense. UMass CS is getting rave reviews of late. So if close that would be my choice. But but UConn is pretty darn great option too

Thank you! They are both fairly close, but I am in state for UCONN, so it will be cheaper. I am trying to decide if the strength of the UMASS program would be worth the extra money.

Check whether you have direct admission to the CS major at each school. If you do not have direct admission, check what the criteria are to declare the CS major after enrolling.
