UMass vs. Syracuse (sport management)

Looking for some advice as I decide between UMass Amherst and Syracuse (I was accepted EA into UMass sport management, applied RD to Cuse--no word yet).

SAT: 1820 GPA: 94, competitive VT hs Extracurriculars: 4 varsity letters, National Honors Society, and I write sports articles for 3 websites

Here is my pro/con list for each school, let me know if there is a mistake.

UMass
Pros: competitive sports management program, low tuition, cool town
Cons: really big undergrad population (this could be a pro), slightly less reputable than Cuse, and people I've talked to either hate it or love it

Syracuse
Pros: awesome school spirit, competitive sports management program/journalism program, lots of job placements after graduation, smaller undergrad population (14,000?)
Cons: costs a bunch, Syracuse the city isn't very appealing, frats run the campus (for better or for worse)

I'm looking to get a degree in SM so I can continue sports writing or enter the industry in general.

Sorry if this post is wordy, it's my first. Thanks

I am an undergraduate sport management major at Syracuse and I can tell you that the program we have hear is top-notch. Yes, the job placement rate/on campus opportunities/internships are amazing here. I’m a freshman and I’ve already have had the opportunity to be a student manager on the women’s basketball team and be completely in charge of all of the promotions and marketing for the two rowing events this year. So it’s really easy to get involved in something sport management-related.

In terms of frats, yes they are pretty popular on campus, but they do not in any way run the school. There are TONS of people who don’t rush and they are not looked down upon at all. Hope this advice helps.
