UMD College Park class of 2022 EA discussion

Savage says different

@TaraGmez there would be no reason for me to make that up. Completely unnecessary, I want them to come out today just as much as you do.

@YoungJavi I doubt Savage would either? I’m torn!

@savagestudent7 When did you recieve this information?

I don’t know who to believe

My cousin was FC last year and it really was just a matter of the time she took classes. She didn’t have the best dorm assignment but that was due to waiting till last minute to enroll, not due to FC, and by mid first semester she was relocated to dorm with all her friends. She is thriving, has just gotten accepted into business school, is in leadership position in her sorority. It really was not an issue at all.

@einy that’s awesome to hear!

If you are in FC, can you still rush a sorority in the spring or do you need to wait 1 year? (I know some schools that you have to be a full time student for at least one semester before you rush so I wasn’t sure if it’s the same for UMD)

@TaraGmez there would be no reason for me to make that up. Completely unnecessary, I want them to come out today just as much as you do.

Savage has no source tho. You’ll believe me after 5PM

Haha no prob…I’m just messing with you anyway…gd luck!

Just called admissions. Asked if decisions were coming today and they said they cannot release that information but that decisions will be out “by or on feb. 1”

I feel like Friday makes more sense.

yea that’s what counselor emailed us as well, by Feb 1st…so even if decisions were to go out tomorrow some may get notices up to that date

calling admissions is a waste of time.

What are my chances?

@dkg123 I would be surprised if you don’t get in with those stats, regardless if you are in state or OOS. Good luck!

I’m praying it comes out today

Chance me!
OOS
GPA: 3.67 UW/ 4.5 Weighted
school doesn’t rank
ACT: 31 unsuperscored, 33 super scored (27 math, 33 reading, 34 english, 36 science)
7 APs
Good essay, great recommendations

@collegegirl2734 You’ll definitely get in for in-state, still over 90% chance if OOS. The 33 super score ACT is outstanding, weighted GPA is excellent, and extras are solid. You’re in great shape.
