I found the page…it is a college fair visitation list for 2021…random, but it looks like it lists the Admissions Reps for a number of states (not all) and their emails. Hope this works for you: https://www.ccsd.edu/cms/lib/NY01913832/Centricity/Domain/1011/College%20Rep%20Visits%209.7.21.pdf
The attached link gets you to the staff directory where you can search for a UMD employee and get their email and phone number. Directory Search
Any idea when Presidential Scholarships are announced? Do they also require an interview like B/K?
Thanks!
No, the presidential scholarships do not require an interview. I believe UMD says notifications are by March 1st. (I seem to recall it being much earlier for my D but that was 4 cycles ago now…an eternity in college admission ; )).
Thanks @momofboiler1
Did your D get a B/K interview?
No she did not. But she’s been invited into the Honors program.
Looking forward to receiving the financial aid package from MD. To consider this school, it will come down to price. No honors or llc in our case.
Looks like they have the dates for admitted students open house. However, it’s virtual - we were really hoping for an in-person event.

Thanks for the heads-up. Good to know.
Yeah, that’s a bummer
The Fall 2022 Schedule of Classes is out on Testudo. For those interested in what their schedule may look like, this will be an early guide. Be aware that the initial schedule will be revised multiple times over the next several months and many of the large freshman courses will add slots during freshman orientation.
Agh!! Virtual!! Maybe things will continue to open up in March and April.
We know plenty of current students and can visit or do in person Terrapin Tour.
But in person Admitted Students days have a different vibe, pre- pandemic days.
I read today on the UMD Admissions website that admitted students days will be in-person and added to the calendar in March! Very happy about that! UMD is high on S22’s list! We attended at Penn State on Monday and it was great!
Edited to add website:
They seem to be contradicting themselves. They posted about virtual & in-person events (that aren’t on the calendar yet.) See my link posted.
That is UMD. Like the weather.
UMD is definitely sending out mixed signals-I’m not surprised. One link on the web site shows virtual and now this link shows in person. I suspect the in person link is an updated link from today and they haven’t revised the other link under Signature programs. Most of the other large surrounding flagship schools are offering in person admitted student days and I think UMD would have been at a competitive disadvantage going virtual with these sessions.
Totally agree!!
The website keeps changing as I type. Screwed up our registration for admitted day.
Update for all who followed our drama with acceptance. As I said before - since they did not consider my D22 as a EA applicant due to “missing item” with checklist shown as complete since October 23, she was offered admission for the Fall 22 into Letters and Sciences. She declined the offer.
My son got an email from UMD this evening. The first paragraph talks about virtual open houses. In the last paragraph (after the bullet points), they mention “admitted student only in-person visit opportunities coming soon.” It sounds like that would be something for the student only, though (as opposed to student and families). At least, that’s how that one sentence reads to me.
