umd - freshman connection housing?

I was accepted to the University of Maryland for spring 2010 and waitlisted for the fall. I have decided to enroll in the Freshman Connection program for the fall semester. I would like to know how current or past students who took part in freshman connection found housing in the area and how you may have found roomates in the same situation.
ANYONE???

I know a good place, just email me if interested.

Try the Towers at University Town Center (www.thetowersatutc). My son lived there as a Freshman Connection student and had a great time and met many friends. There is shuttle bus service run by U. MD from the Towers to the campus. There are also many restaurants and a movie theatre within easy walking distance.

I have actually heard differently about the Towers - that people usually don’t meet other people. The restaurant/movie theater area is kind of sketchy and its customers consist of most of the town and not college students. It is not walking distance to campus. I would recommend something closer to campus, perhaps the View (although I believe it’s more expensive).

Unless the University View has changed its policy, they do not accept freshman as tenants.
