Uh I submitted the $400 enrollment fee Friday…still havent heard back from them yet any tips? I kinda wanna get registered and oriented (Oreintation) xD
I don’t think you do hear back from them. Just go to the Orientation page (http://www.orientation.umd.edu/), go under the transfer student orientation link and apply for your university ID and go from there.
Still haven’t gotten my actual letter in the mail but I got my acceptance online? haha anyone else not get theirs yet?
@acurrey416 Weird, I got mine sometime last week. It wasn’t very exciting, unless you’re really into magnets.
Anyone else have their financial aid e-mail go out? I just got mine a half hour ago, I am very happy with what I got.
Now I am just waiting for my TERPmail to activate So much stuff to do I am so overwhelmed haha
@KonstantinLevin, I don’t know why but I laughed so hard at that! I was so excited for my official letter and it really is only a magnet!
Yeah but WHAT a magnet!
Does anybody know if we get our ID’s at orientation?
Yes, you do. That’s one of the stops on the agenda.
@lenmonster omg thanks you’re so helpful!!!
Anyone else more than a little frustrated that we have to wait until the middle of June to sign up for courses I’ll be a junior (like a lot of you, I’m sure) and a lot of the classes I want are filling up!!!
@sfgirl101 yeah, I am in the same boat. Luckily, I noticed the registering seemed to taper off, and the classes I want haven’t filled any further in a couple of weeks.
@KonstantinLevin Good point! You’re right…but I still think it’s silly and doesn’t really set transfer students up for success. Oh well, guess I can’t do anything about it
It’s one semester, and yes it’s a pain, but this will give you an opportunity also to handle some of the non-transferred GenEds like I-Series or Scholarship in Practice courses. You may have to get on a bunch of waiting lists, but honestly, it will be okay. And after that semester, you will get earlier registrations like the other juniors.
Are they going to open/offer more sections for fall classes? I am a roughly 90 credit transfer into Smith and the earliest orientation isn’t until June 3. Anyways, all of the classes I need are 300s. Most of these are major requirements and all of these classes are completely full with waitlists of 20+ students. There is only a 1 credit class still available that I need.
To those who haven’t gotten their decision and they are on the priority deadline, the decision comes out tomorrow!!! that’s if you submitted everything by the priority deadline.
just got my housing and dining thing yes! for those that applied priority and didnt get a decision 2 weeks ago, check again!
@solidsn i got the housing and dining agreement too
Any admitted transfers that applied for FA get their award yet? Today is supposed to be the day!
Is the housing link the thing that says “Housing and Dining Agreement (For admitted students only)”?? I haven’t gotten an acceptance email yet…
