apparently it was, when was your application fully submitted and completed?
Hmmmm … March 1st
Are you in-state? I am … maybe they responded to out-of-state 1st?
i am in-state as well! omg maybe you’re right, ugh im nervous my application wasn’t fully submitted until april 1st …
April 1st will still be considered for fall!
right? but im just nervous because it only gave me admissions officers like 2 weeks to decide for me so im kinda sad
the issue was i submitted my transfer application on time however my hs transcript was missing for the longest time so it wasn’t considered officially complete until april 1st
idk congrats to everyone who has gotten in and good luck to those who still hasn’t received an answer!
They don’t send ur any email , u just directly login coalition account to check status
Nah they sent me an email before my decision was available. The decision shows up on Coalition, but they still notify you ahead of time
Any clue on how to check financial aid?
Got accepted in Letter & Science last Friday, what is that major?
It is for undecided or, if you’re not admitted to major you requested.
Thx, then I guess I will reject this offer.
maybe try emailing them first to see if a switch is possible or if you can second semester
It’s not exactly said you won’t be admitted to the major you requested. It’s just said that you did not have the prerequisite completed but you are admissible. So they put you in letters and science for you to complete the “gateway courses” once you fulfilled the gateway courses requirement you can then applying internal transfer into the major you want. There are different gateway courses requirement depend on the major you applied. For example, in my son’s case. He applied for CS. He is accepted into letters and science. He will need to complete 3 gateway courses and get a C- grades or better to apply into CS. So you should check what are the gateway courses for the major you plan to get in. For CS, you can request to take the exemption exams for the gateway courses. If you pass, that means you met the requirement and you can apply to get into CS. Maybe there are exemption exams for your intend major too. Contact UMD’s pre-transfer counselor, don’t just turn down the offer.
What major did you seek?
Appreciate so much for your detail information! Sorry for not making it clear, I will reject this offer also because I got admitted in UIUC Math&CS.
Wonderful and congratulations!
