UMD v. OSU?

Which school has a better reputation? I got into both colleges, Fisher's college of business with a BS in BA major, and an Economics major for UMD in their College of behavioral and social sciences. i've always thought UMD was a better academic institution than OSU but i'm not really sure because things have changed over the past few years? any advice as to what school i should go to? oh and I got the National Buckeye Scholarship ($8,700/yr for 4 yrs) for OSU so that might help as well but i'm afraid that OSU may be too big for me and i don't want to feel like no one at All...

thanks

I’m deciding between Maryland and OSU as well. Once you go above 20,000 students, it’s all the same in regards to size. They’re pretty equal, but Maryland pales in comparison to Ohio State’s research oportunities. While both are research schools when I visited OSU they so heavily touted their research and when I asked about it at UMD they couldn’t really attest to anything as grandiose as OSU’s research. However, Maryland is cheaper so I’m in the same boat there. Do some research and best of luck for your decision!

Does anyone have an opinion between Maryland and wisconsin for business??

wisconsin baby!

I second this question. I got into OSU with the National Buckeye Scholarship as well, and I’m waiting to hear back about my deferred status at UMD.

I gather Maryland’s business isn’t all that prestigious (I saw PSU surpassed it in Business week’s or USNWR’s list of B schools) but I know some kids who r sophomores, and the cool thing is is not waaaaaay tough either. In general, I’d prefer an east coast school for proximity 2 internships n such. I know kids in my school talk about Kelley at Indiana being a really good B school, but I think I’d prefer a B school within a more prestigious university, and one farther east.
