UMD vs. PENN STATE for PR?! Please help!

So, I've been admitted to both Maryland and Penn State, both as undecided majors. However, I know that I want to go into Public Relations and that I most likely want to work for a professional sports team someday. So, I guess I should double major/minor in sports management or something like that? A few things:

Location: Maryland is near DC and Baltimore of course (many sports teams and internship opportunities), and Penn State is in the middle of nowhere. Obviously Maryland has the advantage here.

Academics: Not sure how Penn State's PR stacks up against UMD's. Also, does either school have any sort of sports management program at all? I can't find anything on the websites...

Reputation: I feel like Penn State is more well-known, but maybe not for the right reasons. I can't decide if I'd like saying "I go to Penn State" better than saying "I go to Maryland."

Opportunities: Like I said, they depend on the location. However, I know that Penn State's alumni network is amazing. How is Maryland's? Is it easy to get a job out of UMD?

This is such a tough decision. Someone please help answer my questions, and feed me more pros & cons! Thanks:)

All things being equal, location is much better for internships and jobs at Maryland. Additionally, you will have access to public transportation if you do find something wonderful in one of the nearby cities. Maryland also has a pretty good journalism school. There are hundreds if not thousands of associations in the DC metro area that will provide you with wonderful intern opportunities along with government and private industry.
