No, they notified a select number of EA applicants that there is an extra essay for them to fill out. I didn’t receive the email and I applied EA but I know some people did.

i am confused. did any EA applicants already hear they got in? and it seems like some EA applicants already got further notice regarding Premier scholarships? is this accurate?
No, I mentioned I applied EA. No EA applicants are receiving notice they are accepted, only emails for a further essay that is for premier scholarships. If you didn’t receive an email, (I am in this sector), then you are not considered for premier scholarships (full tuition and full ride).

Anyone know if Stamps candidates got a separate notification? Mine only mentions full tuition- (the Isaac Bashevis Singer and Marta S. and L. Austin Weeks)

Congratulations to all that were accepted ED! My S applied EA and we are counting the days until decision time. Our GPA aren’t quite as good as those previously posted but we remain cautiously optimistic about getting accepted in the School of Business. It sounds like a WL decision is as good as a denial. Any thoughts?
EA decisions have already been released - they came out before Xmas. Your S should know by now. Check Greenwave portal.

Daughter was accepted ED. If there is no mention of merit aid at this point, should we assume she isn’t getting any?
Son heard about prescreen pass today for Jazz at DePaul. Still waiting on Frost, Eastman, Temple and Peabody.

There were invites for the premier scholarship rounds. But if other merit was not mentioned with the acceptance it is probably safe to say Welcome to UMiami, unfortunately with a need aware ED with no merit.
If you did not apply for aid and indicated your family is full pay there will not be the financial aid package were merit and need based aid would show. There should be a financial page with the ED info reiterating what was agreed to when submitting the application.
If you applied for need based, currently awarded merit and need based will be in the financial aid package info. UMiami comes close or surpasses EFA, but typically with loans.
If something does not seem to line up with the NPC you should contact them.
Would anyone who was invited to apply for one of the Premier Scholarships be willing to share their stats/community service etc? I was hoping my daughter who applied EA would be asked but she was not.
1590 SAT/ 36 ACT, 500 hours of community service, 16 APS/ 10 DE (all A’s, top 1% class rank). Several international and national awards- most recently, Coke Scholar Semifinalist. Involved in over 15 clubs at school, have had major leadership positions in 9 of them, including one at the state level, in two professional theatre companies
