UMich Admissions

Hey guys
(im really emotional right now) im an international student from korea. i graduated from high school in june but i didnt get into any of the schools i wanted. so im deciding to take a gap year before i reapply to some of the schools again.
university of michigan popped as i was researching and so i wanted to ask you guys something:

i kind of flunked my senior year ( ) finishing with a couple of c's. (Yes, i really shouldve done better but what can i do now, so i'm trying to write better essays.) do you think i have a chance at UT?

thank you guys

This is michigan forums.
Yes you have a chance at UT, and anyone has a chance at harvard too. You didn’t give us any info about your profile besides the couple of Cs…

lol. not enough information is provided to properly chance you for UT or Michigan for that matter. but regardless, if you are taking that gap year and doing something productive, that might help with your resume.

haha lol sorry if i wrote UT. i was asking the same question to the UT forum and i think i forgot to change UT to UMich.

Make sure not to do that on your app essays ;)

drunkofdreams/ lol
I’m also an international student from Korea
and planning to apply to Michigan
i have heard rumors that gap years never really help
you when it comes to college admission
thats why many international students who
couldn’t get into the colleges they want
go to CC and transfer after 2yrs
but yeah my point in, like everyone else’s, provide
you GPA SAT EC etc so ppl can actually evaluate…
