UMICH Bio

Hey it's my first post here, an imcoming junior just beginning my college search. I was just curious as to how good UMich's biology program is, specifically molecular biology or biochemistry. Also, if possible could you guys recommend any other highly regarded biology programs for a ~3.8 GPA/~2100 SAT student? Thanks.

Your chances of getting in at good. Michigan's Biology department is very highly regarded, especially in the sub-categories of Biology, like Biochem and Biophysics.

Other schools worth considering if you are interested in Biology include:

Cornell University
Duke University
Johns Hopkins University
University of Wisconsin-Madison
Washington University-St Louis

Obviously, Harvard, MIT and Stanford are awesome in Biology, but your credentials make them extreme reaches. Maybe you can apply to one of them for the heck of it, but otherwise, stick to more realistic reaches.
