<p>Hi, so I just wanted some feedback on the ability I have to get into UofM LSA. I'm in-state & I plan to major in Comm</p>

<p>I have a 4.0 GPA uw. My ACT is TBD, but i've been working with a tutor and expect to get a 30. Last time I checked my class rank was 7/800. </p>

I am an avid volunteer with Turning Point, which is an organization to help women who have suffered abuse and violence. </p>

<p>My essays should be decent. Writing is definitely a strength in my academics. </p>

<p>Get a real score and ask for chance again. If you do get 30 in ACT, it would be a mid to high match as it is at the 25th percentile.</p>

<p>Do you have any hooks? If so, I’d say you’re in.</p>

<p>I need some help with hooks. My dad did not go to college, so i’m first gen for him. However, my mom went during her late 30’s. I also was held back in first grade and was told I would never be an “above average student”. It’s only been an upward trend since then. I didnt know if being held back would benefit or hinder me… </p>

<p>So you are not first generation college student. Make sure you have a great essay and good recommendation letters.</p>
