I am looking to apply to the University of Michigan in the fall. I do live in Michigan.

GPA Unweighted: 3.81
ACT: 30

Course Load: AP US History, AP Government, AP Economics, AP Calc, AP Biology, Honors Geometry,
Honors Algebra 2, and Honors Pre Calc

EC's: Varsity Soccer for 3 years (possibly captain senior year). High school baseball for 2 years. I have played both travel soccer and baseball competitively for 10 years. Will be in NHS for two years, Spanish Club for 2 years. I have done a community service project in Detroit (probably around 50 hours)

jmw- I just looked at a Scattergram for UM for my D’s school. It looks like just looking at scores and gpa at about a gpa of 3.9 and ACT of 31 admission is about 50%. It is a HS in Michigan also. It might depend somewhat on who you are competing with from your own school as they don’t want to take too many students from any one HS.
I personally don’t like the overemphasis on test scores, but are you planning to take the ACT again? A higher score might help. I would take this information with a very big grain of salt, it is so hard to predict. Good luck!

You’re by no means a shoo-in, but I think your have a great chance of being accepted, especially in-state. Your course load looks rigorous, but I think you should definitely take the ACT again. I think you’re in.
