we're going to start our own cool thread and get all gung ho about going to UMich to make certain unnamed people feel better about their rejection from certain unnamed schools that they truly should have gotten into....i'll be the first to say im definitely coming to ann arbor next fall, LSA it up in hurr ....

Swoosh, I am not saying this to make you feel better, but if it aint Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Stanford or Yale, it just ain't better than Michigan. Ignore all the BS that some people around this forum say. Michigan is one of the top 10 or 15 universities in the nation, and only the 5 schools mentioned above can me a case for being better than Michigan. So you have much to be proud of.

LOL. Swoosh, don't be too mad at them (I know what you're talking about since I know, at least, one of the schools on your list). It's really not worth your time or energy (even though it does hurt). There were LOTS of qualified applicants meaning they could not have admitted everyone that qualified even if they wanted to do so. Think of it this way. They did NOT reject you as a person since they don't really know you (only saw what was on paper). They only rejected you as an applicant based of the number of students they were allowed to admit in the first place. You'll still get a great education at Michigan, and Michigan will probably be beating that school in football next year anyways (sorry... I couldn't resist).

It is like I said Reeses, if it is not H,M,P,S or Y, it is not going to be better than Michigan. That's the bottom line. No schools in the nation, other than those 5, are better than Michigan.

I'm going. I paid the deposit a week ago. But does anyone know when I will get my I-20? I'm Canadian btw.

I can't find any information on when I'll get I-20 on the Umich website.

i'll be going. do we get our application for housing before or after we pay our deposits? (got accepted in december but i've lost a lot of mail from them)

I'm goin, I'm tryin to find an apartment cause i hate dorm rooms lol, anyone wanna live with me? hahaha

i am going, paid my deposit a week ago

my bro is a frosh there right now and he wants me to live in an apartment w/ him next year but i dont know, i think i'd prefer dorm life even if it means i have to live on North and walk 400000000 miles to classes (or take the free bus). i'd feel like im missing out on the giant sleepover that college seems to be. all the bonding and what not that goes down in dorms--i wanna be there.

hey do you know if U of M has any dorms that have been dubbed as the party dorms?

Markley seems to have the best reputation for partying.. but im sure it depends on who you ask.
