Ok, so here's the prompt:
Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific undergraduate College or School to which you are applying at the University of Michigan.
How would that curriculum support your interests?

I'm a Dual Applicant to the School of Music and the LSA. Basically what I've written is about how I love the fact that Michigan let's me pursue both academics and music, and how it gives me flexibility as far as careers go, and experience in a wide range of fields yatta yatta yatta. I feel like that sums up what I need to say, all in around 300-400 words. However, after reading sample essays, I've seen a lot of "I want to be a ____ and I love the ___ program at Michigan because it's got good resources." Specific things like that. Am I missing the point of the essay? I really love Michigan, and I see this essay as a way to rant about that love, but I don't want it to feel like a long drawn out tangent about how much I love the PoliSci department at Michigan. That's boring and I don't want to put admissions through that torture. Someone help me, what are they actually looking for in this essay? And is 300 words a decent length for an essay with a max. of 500 words?
