UMich Deferred Admission

I was recently deferred at U of Michigan
what are somethings I can do to increase my chances other than getting good grades?
Also, when does Michigan begin to release more definitive decisions, I would like to know sooner rather than later??
Thank You

Send an LOCI, letter of continued intent to your regional person, update Umich with any recent significant awards/activities, but don’t bother them with anything trivial.

It does not matter which version of deferral letter you received. The same info is posted on the website to all deferred applicants. Your GPA is rather low. Have you check the Naviance data from your high school? How is your GPA compared with former students admitted to UMich? In state students with ACT 34 should be fine if your GPA is not way out of range.

according to naviance for umich, I am a little bit above the line that goes from accepted to waitlisted/accepted as students with a 3.4 and a 34 are split on accepted or waitlisted @billcsho

I am an Asian, indian male applied LSA
3.5 UW 12 honors/ib/ap’s through Junior Year
34 ACT 770 Math 2
Pretty good EC’s( top 50 newspaper, created a non profit business, 4-year member/leader of many clubs, 4-years as a 2 sports athlete)
Legacy: Sister attends, and Uncle works there
Attend one of the private high school pipeline schools to Umich in Metro Detroit

Senior Year Courseload( projected grades)

BC Calculus(AP)- B
AP CHem- B- or C+
AP Gov/Politics- A-
Spanish 5- A-
TOK(IB)- A-
Organic Chem(IB)- A-

could you please chance me for UMich after getting deffered?

I also got the deferral letter that said “Strong recent grades that are available before mid-February 2018 may improve your status in the deferred pool of applicants” which my classmates say means something or thats the good letter im not really sure

So you know your standing.
