Does the first UMICH essay want you to talk about an experience you gained respect for diversity AND tell about how you would make Michigan diverse? (That's what I got from the prompt) If so, that a whole lot to shove into "approximately 250 words". Also, I cannot think of anything that really distinguishes me from other applicants besides what's already on the application besides the fact that I love to listen to Grateful Dead shows and do so frequently (which I really wouldn't call an "achievement") and I'm afraid if I write something about that (which I can make sound intelligent) it would be viewed negatively because of the social stigma associated with the band and its fans. Any imput on either question appreciated. Thanks!

Also, could anybody look over/critique my other short answer and long essay?

If you are white, can you write about a "diverse" interest you might have to bring to the campus?
