Hey guys, my top 3 choices are UMich, NYU and BC and I want to major in economics, I'm into all 3 schools.

I'm wondering what your opinions are on the econ programs at these schools. I'm also considering a double major with finance.

Let me know what your opinions are.

Umich doesn’t have a finance major. While all three are good schools, NYU and especially Umich are more “prestigious”, if that’s your sort of thing. What are your post-grad plans?

Attend NYU so you can take finance classes at Stern or you can try transferring into Stern.

I would actually say that BC and UMich are slightly more prestigious than NYU but the latter seems to be a better fit for you. Are you applying to the business programs at these schools?

already into Stern at NYU, thanks for your guys help, my post grad plans are to get my MBA and hopefully something on Wall Street after that

Yeah…you can’t really get an MBA out of undergrad, at least not a good one. Plus getting an MBA right after studying business as an undergrad is EXTREMELY redundant. An MBA isn’t like a regular masters degree.

The biggest question you should be asking yourself is fit. What type of environment do you want? NYU doesn’t really have a “campus” in the traditional sense so it isn’t much of the traditional college experience, but if you really like NYC go for it.
