Do the admission stats differ drastically from non-engineering to engineering? does anyone know the SAT range for engineering or better yet, the engineering acceptance rate?

Before someone posts the link for the statistics you request, what they’ll basically indicate is that the exact requirements are different, with a more math and science focused. Last I recall the CoE acceptance rate wasn’t much difference, maybe even a little higher. But considering the different strengths that help for CoE vs LSA, it isn’t really a big as a factor as it may let on.

i see that there is a 3.9 gpa. does this mean that it is in fact much harder to get in because the stats are higher?

I’d say its harder to get into than LSA, but they look at different things too probably. Asking questions about how hard it is won’t help you at all though, either apply or don’t. You should have an idea if you have a shot or not.

The applicant pool for COE tends to be more self-selective.
