I’m sorry to hear that - would you mind sharing your stats?

For CoE, you need all the prerequisites completed before matriculation. You already have great stats, maybe complete that physics electromag and then apply for winter 2021

Although I was rejected, best of luck to everyone else!

Wow, are you serious… after reading your stats and that you still got denied I don’t think I have any chance anymore
I’m also a freshman with a 4.0, was waitlisted when I originally applied

Were you waitlisted or rejected in high school? A U-M admissions officer before told me if you were waitlisted ur normally competitive for transfer

Just got accepted this morning!!! Transferring from MSU with a 3.7 GPA, I will be a junior this fall

Congrats!! when did you submit your app and would you mind sharing ur stats/major?

I am still waiting for them to upload all of my documents.

wait we have really similar stats except I’m not an international student :o

Hi guys! I submitted my application on 31st December and completed all required materials on 12th January but still don’t hear from the school. Do you guys have this similar situation? I thought the earlier I submit my application the earlier I could receive the result…

Same! I submitted my apps on 1/22 and got confirmation email on 1/26 but still didnt receive any result…

Same. Hopefully we get something next week!

Same I submitted mine on 1-24 and still haven’t gotten a decision email

I’ll be a junior this fall. OOS

I submitted mine and they still haven’t found my HS transcript even though they downloaded it. So, I email the admissions office and they tell me that any late documents received will be considered on a first come first served basis if there is any room available. I showed them the transcript email that proved I sent it in on time and they downloaded it two days before the deadline.

The admissions office told me again “All materials received after the deadline are considered on a space available basis” Even though I showed them that not only did I send it on time, but they downloaded the transcript before the deadline. They lost it. So, I sent another one and it hasn’t been added to my account. Talk about bad luck.

I hope this is helpful but Transfer Applicants | University of Michigan Office of Undergraduate Admissions

If you’ve noticed the pattern that it’s much easier getting in transferring as a junior. If your transferring as a freshman or sophomore they can still use your high school grades /stats. Also Michigan is extremely picky on their requirements so get ready to retake some classes.

My advice for those rejected. Make an appointment with a transfer advisor. They also used to have something called Transfer Tuesdays. They will need your transcript. They will work with you one on one to advise you. Many have successfully transferred with their advice. Good Luck.

They haven’t yet updated my high school transcript on the portal yet either. I called and the guy said not to worry and that if it says received, we can be confident that they have received it but it takes up to 5-7 business days for them to process it.

When did they receive your transcript?

I sent it via Parchment on the 23rd, they downloaded it two days before the deadline and I had to send it back in. They must be absolutely swamped this year.
