I’m in-state. And a freshman, so I’m kind of scared!
I’m so sorry to hear that. Especially with your great stats. Out of curiosity, when did you submit your app?
i’m in-state, submitted january 11th. my decision letter had no mention of reapplying.
How many credits did you have?
31, not sure how many would transfer
did you apply to LSA?
yup
You can use the LSA transfer credit calculator to check your courses!
Hey guys! Congrats to everyone who got in! I submitted my application last Friday but didn’t get any confirmation email regarding the portal or anything. Is this normal??
They told me to wait 7 business days before asking for an update. Since you turned it in on Friday, I would assume that you would get your portal towards the end of this week or at the latest, next week. I got mine in 5 days, however, I turned in my app on a Monday. Hope this helps!
I got the email today in the morning fortunately Thanks for your response!
Hi everyone,
I just had a question regarding test scores. I know that we didn’t have to report our test scores as they were “optional”. As I am currently a freshman in college, will Michigan see this as a negative aspect of my application?
yes major choice does affect your chances of getting in. If you’re in a competitive program such as business, computer science or math, your chances of getting in are lower. If you’re in communications or gender studies, your chances are higher since those programs are less competitive and generally have more openings
If you have good stats elsewhere, it won’t make a difference, but they generally use the ACT/SAT more if you’re a sophomore transfer rather than a junior. Also, if it comes down to a decision between you and another applicant who have similar stats, whoever has a higher ACT/SAT score will have the edge.
Thanks for the reply. I’m guessing since I did not report my ACT, they won’t take that into consideration? I also noticed on my enrollment connect portal that it shows my ACT scores submitted from highschool. I doubt they look at that as I requested to be test optional.
For ACT scores, do we have to officially send them a copy from ACT, or is just self-reporting our scores enough?
