Completely surprised that I got in, shows that they take holistic review seriously!
Congrats! Did you get an email or did you just check your portal?
Congrats!! When did u turn in the application?
Thank you! I got an email about my decision
Thank you!
I submitted my application in the first week of December, and it was marked complete on the 11th of December.
I submitted my application on 1/23 and all of my materials were received on 1/29. I’m surprised that the decision came out so quick.
Are you a sophomore?
When did you guys receive the portal?
I got mine like 4 days after, but I also logged into mine way before they sent me a portal link. Login to
Then reset your password and boom, you have your portal before they can give you your credentials
Thanks!
For those who received decisions can you guys share when you turned in ur apps and when u received decisions?
Applied Jan 8th Received my decision today. I’m a Freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a 4.0… rejected.
Im so sorry If you don’t mind, can you share your stats? because I am also coming from out of state university
I’m so sorry to hear that. It could just be because you are a freshman and have fewer credits than the average applicant! I know Umich is very picky on credits. Maybe apply again for winter?
same
hey guys I am currently at a t20 right now as a freshman but umich was my state school which waitlisted me last year which was weird. Do you guys think i have a chance as i am going from a t20 to basically another t20. In hs, i had 1510 SAT and 3.8 GPA. i will have 39 credits by end of this semester with a 3.8 GPA in college rn as well.
yeah I think it was because I had under 60 credits.
I had 41 possible transferable credits.
Yeah you have a strong track record, do you think your essays are good? You’ll probably get in
International Asian
Freshmen at UIUC Engineering with about 88 credits (AP + Department proficiency tests but only about 30 - 50 can transfer i think), had all material submitted Jan 29, applied to CoE CS, rejected yesterday morning. Strong ec at high school and have 3 cs projects but did not really do much in college (covid) 4.0 GPA Fall semester, ACT 33 SAT II Math II 800 Physics 770 and have been taking very rigorous classes: sophomore/junior level cs classes. I think I have all prereq fulfilled except for Physics Electromag. I have a CS professor recommendation. I applied EA last year, deferred, waitlisted and then rejected lol, somewhat disappointed but I guess I just need to work harder lol.
Wish the rest of you the best of luck
