UMich Fall 2022 Transfer Thread

The more credits you get, the quicker the decision comes out. That’s fact

interesting, never knew that

Who else feels like a rejection is looming?

Haha, it’s normal to doubt what you submitted. Be as optimistic as you can afford to be, it doesn’t hurt!

What is the source for this? I’ve never heard of it. I know that priority is given to incoming juniors, but I don’t know why they would sift through the applications to find the people with more credits and handle that first.

Where exactly did you get that info?

anyone receive their decision back?

Did anyone hear anything from Umich this week?

I don’t think any of us will be hearing until early March at this point, they’re probably sorting through all of the transfer applications yet before deciding anything

Forgot to post, but I got into LSA yesterday at 3:23 pm.

Ohh congrats! That means they are releasing admissions.

Would you mind sharing when did you submit your application and when did your checklist complete?

Thank! And yeah, for sure. I submitted and completed my checklist on the January 19th

*Thanks

I got an email last night about in-state versus out-of-state tuition application based on my situation, which the stated date for Fall is at the end of September, but I haven’t got a decision back yet. Thoughts?

I made a comment about this earlier and I personally think that financial aid emails are really an indicator for admissions. But, my experience with that was with first-year admission, so it might be different? I don’t think so, though.

*Not really an indicator.

Got the LSA econ offer yesterday at 3:23pm…
apply for umich for the third time and finally got in
3.95 gpa from top 35 uni and 1470 SAT
oh and also i’m an international student
Good luck y’all! I know how stressful it is and believe you guys can make it too!!! Believe in yourself!!!

Congrats! I’m curious about some of your stats, mostly how many credits you had. Do you think your essays were a big part of your application? Or were you stronger with your grades and ECs?
