When you go to you portal click messages > checklist. Does anyone’s say “All materials required by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to process your application for admission have been received.”? This recently changed for me. It used to say something around the lines of “Checklist complete: all materials received”. Does this change mean anything or nah???

I don’t think it means anything. Mine has said that since the beginning.

I forgot UMich did rolling decisions so I was chilling thinking we wouldn’t hear back until the end of March, and I checked this thread out of curiosity. The fact that ppl have already heard back/ sounds like most of us will within the next week or so is TERRIFYING. I aplied for Fall 2021 as a freshman EA, then got deferred and waitlisted. I applied for Fall 2022 as a transfer (will have 60 college credits by the end of spring), and I’m stressing so much lol. My withdraw button is still there but I’m going to be obsessively checking my portal now… good luck everyone

I can imagine there will be a large batch of acceptances, so I wanted to post the stats I got accepted with since I never did to hopefully boost those who are still waiting and their morale!

accepted to LSA
transfer as a junior (will be a little over 60 credits, will have to not transfer one class)
high school gpa 3.89 (likely not considered since above)
college gpa of a 3.61
coming from an in-state 4-year institution
1 LOR
I’ve already applied once before so they also had my sat and act, which were incredibly below their standards, but since I have as many credits to consider me a junior, it was likely not accounted for
personally, I would have to say my essays were extremely good
good luck everybody this week!

Hi everyone. I asked AO whether or not I should update them the courses I will take in the next quarter. That’s their reply:

“ If would like to submit your future coursework for your upcoming spring 2022 quarter, you can send a list via PDF to ecredentials@umich.edu, or request your institution send an updated transcript to transcripts@umich.edu.”

Hope that helps other people who have similar questions.

Just accepted for LSA!!! (Approx. 8 am PT)

  • I didn’t check for my withdraw button since I was barely awake (but withdraw button was still there last night since it’s a Sunday)
  • OOS
  • Waitlisted last year as freshman applicant
  • Chose to submit SAT (1490)
  • 3.96 college GPA at time of applying
  • 4.6 W/ 3.80 UW (HS)
  • Top 11% of HS class
  • I forgot if we picked majors or not but I would’ve applied as polisci / sociology / psychology

If I was waitlisted for my freshman app, does it mean I may have slightly better chance of getting in with a nearly 4.0 GPA? I am freaking out, literally.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing. :grinning:

I believe you can get in and wish you the best of luck! The waiting can be anxious.

congratulations

Kinda nervous right now cuz my checklist was completed on Jan 15th and still haven’t heard anything yet :smiling_face_with_tear:

They will release the majority of decisions by the first week of April. This is the routine for every year.

My suggestion is if you are currently a freshman. Just relaxed. You know it is hard to get in Umich as a freshman transfer if your High School Stat isn’t perfect. Keep working on your current semester and have a good grade to apply to Umich in the next semester.
