UMich Fall 2022 Transfer Thread

yes

what is "proof of high school completion?

High school transcript should suffice. They just want to make sure you graduated.

ok thanks. lmao need to contact high school i guess, so unfourtunate that i literally just figured it is missing

Did you complete your CSS & FAFSA and then got a letter of acceptance, or did you receive one without completing it yet?

I received my decision before submitting mu finaid paperwork!

Anyone have their checklist complete early Feb hear anything? I’m thinking that decisions won’t come out for the rest of the month

Applied 1/30 still waiting to hear back. Did anyone else receive the email from UM asking “entering students” to apply for financial aid? I wonder if that’s sent to everyone or if that’s a positive indication

That’s an indicator. Congrats

yeah, i am from a liberal art college. GPA 3.65. Have two jobs in my current institution. 1 rec from my advisor.

Did you get that email?

Unfortunately I got that email last year and I didn’t get in. I don’t think it’s an indicator, if I’m honest.

Submitted on 1/31 and still waiting to hear back. Some statement on an official UMich Q/A site said expect a result from late March to early April but I hope it’s earlier than that.

How many credits do you have?

Man I hope I get a response by Monday or Tuesday, app was submitted on Jan.31 and my checklist was complete Feb.4, really hoping I get in!

By the time I’d (hopefully) attend, I would have only ~40 credits, or about 1.5 years of CC.

Sorry for the double response, but I thought I’d mention that last year I applied as a first-year student (if that makes any difference). Just wanted to share my experience regarding the financial aid email.

which weekday does umich release decisions?

It depends on how many credits do you have

never heard this before, how do credits obtained by the applicant affect what day your decisions could come out on?
