Just got my acceptance today, but I didn't receive a single penny for financial aid and I'm OOS. Is there any way I can still get any money through grants or scholarships? (like applying to them). Our income is only slightly above 150k, is this too much to receive aid? o.o

I was looking on my documents and I noticed that it said CSS Profile Form...waived.
What does that mean?

Did you not submit a CSS form earlier? Perhaps they could tell from the FAFSA income and assets that you would not qualify for need-based aid and therefore waived the CSS if you hadn’t supplied it. And did you not receive the standard Sub and Unsub federal loans available to ALL students ($5500.)?

Your income is most definitely above the federal guidelines to receive any grant aid (that for those with less than $60k a year generally.)

Merit awards for freshmen are automatically considered by the admit committee.

You may want to call the financial aid office and ask them directly about the “waived” thing and confirm that you do not qualify. Perhaps there has been an error in your paperwork. That said, you’re not from an income level that typically qualifies for need-based aid. That doesn’t mean you might not get some merit if they’re still notifying.

when i was accepted yesterday, i saw $0 for aid. now i see the $5500 kmcmom was referring to. so maybe you just need to wait a day or so.

i have a couple questions of my own: have merit scholarships already been granted? and if the only thing currently posted on wolverine access for me is the 5500 loan, is that all i’m expected to get?

Well the CSS box got removed and replaced with a new document that’s received. I think it might not be showing aid because they need confirmation of my US citizenship. I’ll send that in first and see. Thanks guys.
