I need your help to assess what my chances are of getting into the MSE program (IOE) at the University of Michigan. As you may be able to foreshadow, my biggest concern is my GPA which stands at around a 3.05 cummulative. Have not taken the GRE yet, but intend on doing so prior to the changes taking place August 1st. I don't forsee any major hurdles in producing a solid statement of purpose as well as recommendations. My undergraduate degree is actually in Mechanical Engineering but I am looking to shift gears into Industrial because I got to work with a lot of the concepts during my internship (oh yeah, close to 2 years experience at tier 1 automotive supplier) and would love to pursue a career in the field. Please give me some feedback/recommendations as to what I may be able to do to improve my chances of being admitted into this program or programs throughout the US similar to it. Thanks in advance.
