UMich is in the running for my second choice.. but I have a football issue!

I live on the south side of Chicago. For those of you that don't know what that could entail.. I am a hard core Irish fan. Now, Notre Dame is my #1 choice.. but I'm not sure that I'll get in. I have been told I have a great shot at Mich, a higher chance than at ND. If I go to Mich I feel like it would be betraying the team I love, lol. I can see myself being tempted to wear my ND gear on a game day... even against ND if I did choose Mich. Anyone have any opinions on this?

It's up to you: sports or academics? Go to UMich and wear ND gear, and hope no one hurts you.

I suggest you find another Irish Catholic university if you can't get into ND.

Seriously, once you're at U-M, your loyalties will change. If you're not converted to maize and blue after the first game, there's something wrong with you! (And, if you still have a soft spot for ND, you could sell your U-M student section ticket and buy a ticket in the away section for the 2 times this will happen in your 4 years at Michigan.)

You can go to Michigan and still support Notre Dame except when we play them. In Ann Arbor, the rivalry isn't that bitter as it is in South Bend because we hate Ohio State the most. I personally like Notre Dame football, but didn't apply there because the university itself didn't appeal to me, but as long as you don't like Ohio State, you're fine. I cheer for Notre Dame in any other game except when the play us. Just to let you know, ND stadium is a scaled down version of the big house, the first Mich-ND game occurred because Michigan essentially was supposed to "teach" ND to play football, the ND Victory March (which is inferior to THE VICTORS) was written after a loss to Michigan, and Michigan leads the overall series with ND. Lastly, a Wolverine could take on an Irishman, even a drunken one!

LOL im in the same boat....

OSU fan...ahahahahahaha

The you're screwed

Hahaha...

A closet OSU fan hmmmm
