I have applied to Umich to transfer into the summer 2021 term. Is anyone doing the same thing? Or has anyone here successfully transferred and can give me stats? I am still waiting for my decision.
With any direct admit nursing program your chances of transfer are very low.
I’m not at u of mich but our direct entry nursing program has accepted I think only 3 transfers in the last 5 years.
Oh jeez. I heard u of m accepts up to 50?
Direct admit nursing programs accept a capped number of students. To get in as a transfer you are basically waiting for students to drop out or fail out.
Interesting. I will just wait and see. Hoping for the best.
The direct entry program I’m at accepts 120 students. Last 3 years our nursing school acceptance rate has been 7-9%. The only transfers into the major we have accepted are internal transfers sophomore year.
Every school is different though but U of Mich has a much lower acceptance rate overall than the school I’m at.
What school do you go to? I personally know some umich transfers that have told me different. I also read that umich has up to 365 students. However, things change every year. Especially with the circumstances we are at now.
I teach at a program in IL. We are smaller of course.
Good luck!
