<p>i'm an international student and i've been accepted to UIUC and UMich engineering.
The problems= </p>
<p>Why UIUC?
+ My parents insists me to go to UIUC because my mom was told that UMich eng. grads are harder to get jobs than UIUC grads (btw, is this true?).
+ UIUC's engineering rank is higher (you know.. Int'l students' parents only care about those fallacious rankings..).
- I have to go there alone.</p>
<p>Why UMich?
+ My best friend is also accepted to UMich so we can share a room together.
+ IMHO UMich is a better school.
- My parents prefer UIUC.</p>
<p>Money is not a concern for me. So are surrounding cities and climate. I just wanna put serious attention in the college's overall experience and job opportunities. </p>
<p>Now which one to choose?</p>
