UMich or UPenn?

Suppose that I get accepted into the following two places:

University of Michigan
University of Pennsylvania

Given these two options, which one should I choose? Here are my circumstances:

I intend to major in Economics.
I am applying to the College of Arts and Sciences for UPenn, and I would choose LSA for UMich.
I hope to someday work in DC as a pundit or an economic policy analyst.
I want people to look at my background and recognize that I am smart, so prestige is sort of important to me.

Considering that UPenn is Ivy League, how does it compare to UMich?

You have already started other threads on this… please stop asking the same questions repeatedly. Especially making it sound like you are in incoming freshman when in fact you are not and your decision has been made.

You are a freshman at UMich. You were rejected by UPenn last year (I know this because you have posted this today in four different forums.

Time to move on. Umich is a terrific school, even for instate students! Maybe if you do well there as an undergrad, you can go to Penn for grad school.

I agree with another poster on another one of your threads…complaining about the quality of UMich makes you sound less than smart.
