Is it possible to get a 3.5+ in physics with hard work? I'm really interested in physics so I want to major in it, & I'm going to do pre-med as well.
My biggest concern is that physics is going to make my GPA lower than other majors for medical school..but I don't really want to sacrifice something I enjoy studying for gpa purposes. Is it realistic to get a 3.5+ in physics while still doing research, community service, volunteering, etc?

It is possible to get a 3.5+ in physics. It helps if you are a good math student.

I will be a freshman next fall. I am majoring in physics and thinking of premed too. Most kids major in bio. But here is the pay off for majoring in physics. It has a wide range of opportunities. If you do not make it to med school you can easily find a decent job. Physics is one of the hardest majors in LSA but man dont worry you can do it. just little time management and you will be able to do everything you want. Best of luck.

Personally I’d stay out of Physics if I was looking at Premed. It’s usually one of the hardest majors at all schools. But if you’re smart like that then go ahead.
