I applied to UMich Undergraduate Engineering and for Preferred Admission to the Ross School. I got into both.

Now the question that I have is what exactly does the Preferred Admission do? I know it only starts in my Sophomore year, but does that mean I am no longer studying engineering after the first year?

Basically, I want to be able to study both Engineering and Business. Is Preferred the way to do this, or am I messing up?
