Hello! So I was admitted into umich lsa and am waiting for Ross preferred admission. I realized I didn’t do the portfolio, is it possible for me to add it into my application before Ross reads it?? On the common app, the question where it said “ do you understand students apply to Ross must submit an additional portfolio…” I accidentally clicked no. It’s a really dumb mistake, but I really want to get admitted to Ross. thanks in advance for any answer
This is very dumb mistake and really show that you do not have enough interest in Ross. The portfolio requirements are all over Ross’s website. How can you ignore this?
You may contact the admission office and try it. I am afraid that they may not allow you to do that. The deadline has well passed. Other applicants had to work hard to get the portfolio done before the deadline.
@xxxx1111 Ross will allow you to add the portfolio. Contact them, I believe at rossundergrad@umich.edu. The risk is that your Ross admission application will be viewed as completed after 11/1, and applications completed before 11/1 are given preference. The final deadline is not until 2/1 however, so I would encourage you to finish it. Everyone makes mistakes, good luck!
The Ross portfolio was added later because I finished that section before it was added and only discovered it when I was reviewing my application and accidentally edited something in that section which prompted me to add a portfolio.
@altmusicman thank you so much! I’m so glad to hear that! I will definitely contact them. Once again, thank you!!
