UMich Rolling Decisions

Quick question: So, I applied on January 7th, and sent my college transcript on the first of Feb. and my Byu independent study transcript Feb. 6th, yet they have not recieved either of these. Has anyone else experienced processing times this long? I called them and they said it takes up to 15 days, but I’m starting to get worried… Should I resend them or what?

Gah, I need to stop checking Wolverine Access every few days. I’m gonna give it up for Lent. xD

I find it hard to believe that the last batch of acceptances will come only this month. Their deadline for RA was 2/1 (which was when I submitted my app) and I don’t think they would be able to get back to people who submitted at the deadline within a month.

@LightningFarron ahahhahaha, that’s a good one :)

I agree, bigelmofarts (lol). Especially since ACT scores from February were just released and are in the process of being sent to colleges. Oh and some students haven’t even received any admissions response yet. Maybe mid-March is the last acceptance batch?

I don’t know if this goes for other schools, but A&D admissions told me to expect to wait 6-8 weeks after everything is received. Since the deadline is Feb. 1, the latest notification anyone can get (if they submitted the app right on that date and got accepted) would be March 14. So I’m sure they’ll crank out some, if not all, decisions during March. I’ve got LSA to wait on too, but I haven’t heard from both schools yet. If I get into even just one, it would be more than enough for me. :P

Accepted to the College of Engineering today after being deferred RD. 4.0 unweighted GPA, 2140 SAT (710 m, 760 cr, 670 w), 5 APs, varsity tennis and lots of photography ECs and awards.

Applied dual to the School of Music too and was told they’d get back to me in early-mid March.

Rokr were you deferred EA or RD?

I was deferred regular decision. My guess is it was because they didn’t have my mid-year report; I sent it to them, along with an E-mail detailing my 7th semester accomplishments and my desire to attend UM, maybe 10-12 days back. I was surprised to hear from them so soon, so I guess the mid-year report was what they needed.

Nice! Congrats!

Was it an email?

Thanks. And yes, it was an E-mail. Pretty much identical in format to my deferral E-mail but with an affirmative instead.

RoKr93- Are you in state?

Nope. Indiana.

congrats to everyone who got in!

So now we know forsure the next wave is not the end of the month…

:( i want to find out nowww!
When do you guys think that the rest of the applicants will hear back?

I have a feeling mid march (week of the 12th) will be a wave.

Looking at past history, we can expect additional information to go out on Friday, March 9. That’s just an educated guess. I have heard back from all of the schools I applied to. Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. I only applied to four schools. I was accepted at all of them. I want to go to Michigan.

All my materials were sent well in advance (november) and then I submitted my common app/supplement 1/16/12. My mid year report was just sent in Monday. I’m dyyinnng to find out.
