Letter of Rec:
I would say my letter is pretty strong, Iâve chosen a teacher I talk to a lot and have had for 3 years.
Essays:
From what people are saying, my essays are pretty strong. Idk fs how strong they are though.
Am I competitive for admission to ross? Im just anxious because I dont have that many business ECs. I have tried my best to tailor some of my experiences to be business related (such as the dental shadowing, I talked about learning dental practices).
The Ross essays and artifact are important. It sounds like you have quite a bit of business experience with the tutoring and dropshipping businesses, plus the AI internship. Itâs odd that you seemingly highlighted the dental shadowing as business experience in light of those other experiences (not saying highlighting the shadowing experience wouldnât work though).
I meant you have the stats to be admitted (and you are the one who asked if you are âcompetitiveâ), but I canât chance you or categorize Ross for you as an in-state student because I donât have access to the complete picture of your app, or your context within your HS. I defer to what your counselor says.
At this point what anyone thinks doesnât matter, you just have to wait and see when you get your admission results.
Stats good. I actually like the dental practices highlighted since itâs just different. Nice way to separate yourself out. Your application will speak for itself.
But getting into Michigan is almost a reach for everyone due to the amount of applications they have now. How does your school do yearly with acceptances? Out of those how many actually accept and go there? These factors do come into play.
For the first time this year UMich requires freshman applicants to apply to the CS major. The admissions website says theyâre just getting too many applicants and need to control the number of CS majors.
