I haven't sent in my app yet because I haven't had enough time to finish my essays... is it too late? Will it decrease my chances if I send it within the next two weeks? Also, does is say anywhere on the app that we need recomendations or that they're suggested? thanks...

yea it's too late.

you tiny chance if you apply now

^ stop giving out false information

It's not too late. The deadline is March 1st I believe.

For a transfer applicant, they need HS grades and if you have taken ACT/SAT, the scores for that and they need college transcript.

everything else is optional.

Go for it. I also didn't have enough time to write my essays and did them during my semester break. I only submitted my app early this month, and I'm also OOS. It never hurts to apply - and don't worry, you still have a shot. If you were a freshman applicant your chances would be slimmer. Recommendations are not needed, although in another thread someone suggested that you send in at least one to boost your app. Also, here are all the deadlines: http://www.admissions.umich.edu/prospective/transfers/deadlines.html
Good luck!

thanks for your help everyone!

Just remember that unless you are an Ivy-caliber applicant, the later you send in you're app the longer you'll have to wait to find out. Michigan can take forever to get out their decisions. Hopefully it isn't as bad for transfers as it is for the freshman applicants.
