Graduated HS in May of 2016; Didn’t begin college education until Winter 2017 due to my junior hockey career; took many summer classes; met with Kines admissions counselor many months ago and she laid out the specific courses to take for my major; mentioned my HS GPA won’t be an issue if I can continue to do well in more classes ( particularly Statistics she mentioned and ended up receiving a 4.0 in stats in the summer)

I too am applying to transfer for the Winter 2018 semester.
College GPA: 3.95
Credits: 61 completed, 75 after this semester
EC’s: Work, volunteer, research, bla bla bla

HS GPA: 2.9
ACT: 23

I’ll let you guys know how it goes. Given my high school stats I’m skeptical I have a shot, despite everyone telling me it won’t matter anymore. I guess we’ll see.

When you have that many credits I assume the 2.9 23 ACT is washed away. I think you’re in. When are you applying and what is your major? @Bioinformagics

@Mantha3993 I’m submitting my application tonight hopefully. At my current school my major is BioChem. My desired major is LSA Computer Science following their bioinformatics track.

Hey y’all! I’m applying for winter 2018 as well and was wondering how my stats look.

I am from Ann Arbor originally. I graduated in June of 2016 and am currently attending college in Nashville, TN. I am a nursing major but will be applying to LSA due to some issues here in Nashville. Then I will later apply to the school of nursing.

High school stats:
GPA: 3.782 UW
ACT: 31
Extracurriculars: Varsity swimming, varsity water polo, varsity synchronized swimming, varsity bowling, student leadership at my church, volunteer at the humane society and the local soup kitchen, and attended numerous mission trips within and outside of the United States.

College stats:
I am a sophomore/junior (44 credits) at Belmont University.
GPA: 3.93 in the school of nursing, nursing GPA is a 4.0.
Major/minor: Nursing/Spanish
Extracurriculars: Swim club, swim instructor, greek life, global brigades club, YoungLife, RUF.
Essays: I would say they are pretty strong, but not perfect.
Recommendations: Not required, but if needed, I have strong recommendations within my university.

Please let me know!

I have also applied for the winter of 2018. I wanted to know if I have a chance at being accepted as a transfer.

I was born in Michigan, but moved OOS when I was 8.

I am applying to LSA, with the intention of majoring in either International Studies or Political Science

High School Stats:

Top 250 public high school in the nation

I have legacy at UMich, about 6 family members have gone there, including my grandpa. Also, I’m also not sure if this will do anything, but my great-grandpa donated a bunch of Armenian literature to the school that he brought with him when he immigrated to the United States during the Armenian Genocide.

bump. I’m applying as an international transfer for winter 2018

What are your stats? For some reason, this year threads on transferring in the winter for UMich have been pretty silent

Has anyone got a decision?

@Jeremiahtoo I have. I got my decision this past Friday. It showed up on Wolverine access as a view decision link way before I actually got the e-mail. I got the e-mail on Sunday.

Congra!!! Are you in state? Can you state your static? And where you transfer from, when did you submit your application? Thank you so much.

@Jeremiahtoo I know that some of the admissions councilors were on the road, mine just got back today. They don’t start looking over apps and releasing decisions until they’re back.

My counselor is Sarah Rice. Do you know if she was on the road or not?

@DetroitFan81 I don’t. I only know about mine because he said that he would be on the road in response to an email I sent him. I’m sure they’re all back at this point.

@GoHuskiesGoBlue gotcha. Thanks for responding

How do you know who your counselor is? @DetroitFan81 @GoHuskiesGoBlue

I just heard back with my rejection. I kind of expected it since I’m only a first semester freshman. Well, time to send in the app for Fall of 2018, I’m not giving up.
